Yabisi, meaning "Tree" in the Arawak Taíno , is a spiritual center rooted in African and Caribbean diasporic traditions. Through education, ritual, herbalism, community practice and handcrafted remedies, we create spaces that support healing, cultural preservation and ancestral remembrance.
Our work is grounded in the belief that healing is an act of remembering—remembering our ancestors, our relationship with the land, our bodies and the wisdom carried through our lineages. Whether you're taking your first steps or deepening a lifelong practice, we invite you to find your place here.

The House of Remembrance
Our membership is a living archive of ancestral teachings, rituals, guided meditations, herbalism classes, spiritual development, and monthly live gatherings. Designed to be explored at your own pace, the House continues to grow with new teachings each month.
The School of Remembrance
Our year-long immersive training for those called to deepen their practice. Guided by Lynsey Ayala Rinaldi alongside a faculty of respected elders, practitioners, therapists, artists, and lineage holders, students explore African and Caribbean diasporic traditions, espiritismo, herbalism, ritual, psychosomatics, and embodied approaches to healing.

Lynsey Ayala Rinaldi
Founder of Yabisi
Lynsey Ayala Rinaldi is a Boricua medicine woman, teacher, and artist whose work bridges ancestral plant medicine, Afro-Indigenous spirituality, and communal healing. As the founder of Yabisi, a botanica and School of Remembrance, she creates spaces for ceremony, education, and remembrance that honor the living traditions of the African and Caribbean diasporas.
Through her teaching, writing, and medicine making, Lynsey weaves together Orisha cosmology, Curanderismo, herbalism, and ritual as pathways for reconnection—to body, land, and lineage. Her work invites others to reclaim ancestral knowledge, weaving the wisdom of the past into our everyday lives, and activating community healing that is rooted in reverence, justice, and spirit.
