YABISI: A Pathway to Ancestral Healing

Yabisi, meaning “Tree” in Arawak Taino is a living ecosystem of ancestral remembrance rooted in accessibility, earth medicine, and spiritual integrity. We offer three interconnected entry points for self-healers, seasoned practitioners, and the spiritually curious:

1. The School of Remembrance

A yearlong apprenticeship guided by founder Lynsey Ayala Rinaldi alongside a faculty of elders, medicine people, therapists, and creatives.
Apprentices learn a range of healing modalities rooted in Curanderismo, herbalism, spiritualism, and shamanic practices—through Lynsey’s 15+ years of practice.

2. Community Activations

Monthly in-person and virtual gatherings aligned with the School’s curriculum, for those unable to commit to the full program.
These ceremonies and workshops offer powerful, theme-based teachings and experiences to support collective healing.

3. The Botanica

Our shop is a portal of self-guided healing tools- sacred earth medicines, spiritual baths, oils for somatic work, and written rituals—distilled from Lynsey’s medicine and vision. Perfect for anyone seeking to bring sacred earth practices into their everyday life.

At Yabisi, we believe that healing is an act of remembrance. We are here to support you on your path to weaving ancestral practices into your everyday life.

Lynsey Ayala Rinaldi

Founder of Yabisi

Lynsey Ayala Rinaldi is a medicine woman, teacher, artist, and the founder of Yabisi. A Bronx-born Nuyorican and Orisha devotee, her path is deeply rooted in her Puerto Rican ancestry and the wider spiritual lineages that make up the Caribbean. As with many Caribbean folks, Lynsey’s work holds multitudes—bridging African diasporic traditions, Indigenous wisdom, and ancestral memory.

Her practice is rooted in Caribbean Curanderismo and spiritual herbalism, drawing on diagnostic tools like egg cleanses, spiritual baths, and divination. Guided by Orisha cosmology, astrology, and mediumship, she channels medicine that supports spiritual, emotional, and physical balance. Her education background also weaves in elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine and clinical herbalism, bringing depth to the formulas and rituals in our botanica that she creates by hand.

Lynsey is a medicine ceremony guide and diviner, working with earth medicines to help others navigate healing journeys with integrity and reverence. Her offerings tend to the full spectrum of being—body, mind, spirit, and soul.

Through Yabisi’s School of Remembrance, she shares her unique, channeled practice in a year-long apprenticeship alongside elders, spiritual teachers, and community healers. Her work is an invitation to remember—who you are, where you come from, and the power that lives in your roots.
