YABISI: A Pathway to Ancestral Healing
Yabisi, meaning “Tree” in Arawak Taino is a living ecosystem of ancestral remembrance rooted in accessibility, earth medicine, and spiritual integrity. We offer three interconnected entry points for self-healers, seasoned practitioners, and the spiritually curious:
A yearlong training guided by founder Lynsey Ayala Rinaldi alongside a faculty of elders, medicine people, therapists, and creatives.
Students learn a range of healing modalities rooted in Curanderismo, herbalism, spiritualism, and shamanic practices—through Lynsey’s 15+ years of practice.
Our shop is a portal of self-guided healing tools- sacred earth medicines, spiritual baths, oils for somatic work, and written rituals—distilled from Lynsey’s medicine and vision. Perfect for anyone seeking to bring sacred earth practices into their everyday life.
3. The Yabisi Healing Ecosystem
A network of practitioners and healers rooted in ancestral traditions, committed to responsible, respectful and ethical practice
4. Events & Gatherings
Spiritually rooted experiences centered on diasporic traditions, cultural preservation, and community
At Yabisi, we believe that healing is an act of remembrance. We are here to support you on your path to weaving ancestral practices into your everyday life.
Lynsey Ayala Rinaldi
Founder of Yabisi
Lynsey Ayala Rinaldi is a Boricua medicine woman, teacher, and artist whose work bridges ancestral plant medicine, Afro-Indigenous spirituality, and communal healing. As the founder of Yabisi, a botanica and School of Remembrance, she creates spaces for ceremony, education, and remembrance that honor the living traditions of the African and Caribbean diasporas.
Through her teaching, writing, and medicine making, Lynsey weaves together Orisha cosmology, Curanderismo, herbalism, and ritual as pathways for reconnection—to body, land, and lineage. Her work invites others to reclaim ancestral knowledge, weaving the wisdom of the past into our everyday lives, and activating community healing that is rooted in reverence, justice, and spirit.
