Desarollo - Live Class - 7/30/26
During this virtual gathering, we will explore the foundations of building and tending a spiritual bóveda before moving into desarrollo—the process of understanding and developing the ways spirit communicates through us.
Through feeling, knowing, dreams, visions, writing, trance, the body, plants and connection with the dead, we will explore the many expressions of our spiritual faculties and begin mapping our own unique language of receiving.
This class invites our wider community into the teachings we are moving through together in The School of Remembrance
About Yabisi
A Home for Remembrance
Yabisi , meaning “Tree” in Taino ~ is a spiritual center rooted in African and Caribbean diasporic traditions. We weave together ancestral teachings, herbalism, ritual, education, community practice and handcrafted remedies to cultivate spaces for remembrance, healing and reconnection.
Our work honors the wisdom carried through our lineages while supporting the ways we continue to tend, preserve, and embody these traditions today. Whether you're beginning your journey or deepening your practice, we invite you to find your place here.
The Woo Podcast
The Woo is an extension of our work at Yabisi—a space where stories, teachings, and conversations come together.
Through solo reflections and conversations with respected teachers and lineage holders, we explore ancestral traditions, herbalism, spirituality, psychosomatics, and the many ways remembrance lives in our everyday lives.
